The Presents Coming to Use

I got many great presents for my birthday last week. Among them were:
  • From Hannah: An Obama shirt, a bag of black licorice (yummy!), a photo of me and her, a photo album of camping, an Irish button, and a CD of the amazing video she made!
  • From relatives: 2 $25 iTunes cards, money
  • From other friends: 3 earrings, 5 mini-hand-sanitizers, Julia Child's book, Julia Child's cookbook "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," a cute set of tablespoons, and "Catching Fire"
  • From Mom and Dad: A "Stay Fresh" shirt, and the Mary Poppins 45th Anniversary Edition DVD

I've gotten much use out of all of them, I've watched Mary Poppins about 3 times over, I've started Catching Fire, I've bought a bunch of songs on iTunes, I've put the money in my wallet, I've worn 2 of the 3 earrings, I've worn the Obama shirt and the Stay Fresh shirt! They are all AWESOME!!!

Thanks so much everyone!!

Julie & Julia

Today Mom and I saw Julie & Julia! Meryl Streep was AMAZING as Julia Child. She even had the perfect Julia Child voice! Amy Adams played Julie Powell, who also was amazing. My favorite character (apart from Julia...) was her husband, Paul, played by Stanley Tucci. It was a really great movie, because I really love cooking. The food looked really good also.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!!!

Okay, so on Wednesday night at 7:30 I saw HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE with Hannah. It was REALLY good, funny, and adventurous. I thought it was a little choppy, and there really wasn't a clear climax (no big fight scene or anything) but it was still good. I thought Ron was definitely played the best, with his facial expressions and funny dialogue. Also Snape was played extremely well by Alan Rickman, as always, because his voice is so abnormally perfect for the role. I totally would have seen it at midnight, but I had volleyball camp the next day.

1 DAY LEFT!!!!!!

THERE IS 1 DAY LEFT OF SCHOOL!!!!! OMG! I am SOOOOOOOO excited! We got yearbooks today, and I got 30 signatures with more to come tomorrow! We had Homeroom, 1st Period, (Mr. O started crying!) 2nd Period, 5th Period, 6th (we watched "Remember the Titans"), then FUN DAY! There was cotton candy, a DJ, someone from a smoothie place, and a face painter. All the lines stretched forever, though, so I didn't get cotton candy, a smoothie, or my face painted. I just walked around the track with Hannah and talked about summer! MY BACKPACK IS GOING TO ENJOY ITS 3 MONTHS IN THE CLOSET!!!! moohaha.

Night at the Museum II: Battle of the Smithsonian

Yesterday I went to go see Night at the Museum II: Battle of the Smithsonian with my two friends Morgan and Sam. It was really good, but I do have to say that the first one was better. My favorite part was when General Custer was trying to figure out Sacagawea's name. It went like this:

General Custer: Any questions?

Sacagawea: *raises hand*

General Custer: Yes, Sacagesdfjkjhsndjfnm......

Sacagawea: That is not my name.

General Custer: Sacagameha.

Sacagawea: *raises eyebrows*

General Custer: Sack-in-a-box!

Sacagawea: No.

General Custer: Cinco de Mayo!

Sacagawea: *shakes head*

General Custer: Mission Accomplished!
