Some Kind of Record

Today was a whopping 68 degrees!! Pretty good for the first day of spring! Today is great because I went over to Hannah's house and filmed for our friends video birthday present, played badminton, soccer, and flag football. Then we went back to Hannah's house and had cake and ice cream for Aaron's birthday. It was very good. We also said hello to Lady Bird and Doc (the great) and went on the rope swing. I wore shorts and a T-shirt and was still hot!

Tennis starts on Monday! So excited because this year I am trying out for varsity!

Now I have to go to homework. Darn.

Bye!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Wow, sorry I haven't posted in like 2 weeks!!!! But I have been very busy. After we got back from California, I had 2 days to relax, then packed up to fly to summer camp with my 2 cousins. I was there for a week, then came back and went straight to volleyball camp. I finished yesterday. I have today and tomorrow, then on Monday I volunteer at Vacation Bible Camp for a week.

This summer camp I go to is absolutely the BEST CAMP EVER. The counselors are super-crazy and fun, and there's SO many activities, we sleep in cabins, go hiking, play pranks, it's on a lake, and I've been going there since I was 8. It is AMAZING.

Volleyball camp lasts for 4 days, 9-4. It's a lot of fun, but it does get just the teensey-est bit old after 4 days.

I <3 SUMMER!!!!

1 DAY LEFT!!!!!!

THERE IS 1 DAY LEFT OF SCHOOL!!!!! OMG! I am SOOOOOOOO excited! We got yearbooks today, and I got 30 signatures with more to come tomorrow! We had Homeroom, 1st Period, (Mr. O started crying!) 2nd Period, 5th Period, 6th (we watched "Remember the Titans"), then FUN DAY! There was cotton candy, a DJ, someone from a smoothie place, and a face painter. All the lines stretched forever, though, so I didn't get cotton candy, a smoothie, or my face painted. I just walked around the track with Hannah and talked about summer! MY BACKPACK IS GOING TO ENJOY ITS 3 MONTHS IN THE CLOSET!!!! moohaha.

HURRAH FOR SUMMAH!!!!!!

Study-udy-udy

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have finals this week, and I've been studying SO MUCH. I spent like 4 hours last night doing review packets for Health, Math, and Science. And then French, but Mrs. Williams won't let us take the packet home. LA/SS doesn't have a final, thank Gosh. I have French and Math tomorrow, French, Math, and Health on Friday, and Science on Tuesday. But it's nice to know that after these finals, SCHOOL IS (pretty much) OVER!!! well, we still have to get up and go, but there's NO WORK!!! The last week is pretty much pointless excpet for Tuesday, the Science final.

On Monday, Honors Society members get to go to Wild Waves!!! It's gonna be SO MUCH FUN! Hopefully it'll be sunny, because I got some great perscription sunglasses today that I want to test out. And I want to wear one of my new swimsuits before July.

On Tuesday, there's the Science Final, then chillin' in all the other classes

On Wednesday, we get our YEARBOOKS!! We go around to all the classes and sign.

Thursday is FUN DAY! We have a few periods in the morning, then go outside on the football field and sign yearbooks and eat barbecue. Last year there were blow-up toys. This year, there will be a cotton candy machine, a DJ, and a face painter!

FRIDAY IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!! YAY!

A Little More Than Summer...

Okay, I really like warm weather, but yesterday was a little overkill. It got up to 93 degrees yesterday. Everyone was dying in school, but not people in Ms. O's room! Her room used to be a computer lab, so it has air conditioning!!! YAY!

Counting Down!!

28 Days of School Left! I cannot believe there is less than a month left! I am like FREAKING OUT, but when it gets to June, I'll be REALLY FREAKING OUT! EEEP I AM SO EXCITED THAT IT IS ALMOST SUMMER! It was even a little summery today; it's supposed to be 68 degrees today. It's getting there...

Oh My Golly Good Gosh!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS ALREADY MAY 1ST. ONLY 33 DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT!!!!! OMG!!! Today it was a whopping 69 degrees Farenheit and I wore shorts and flip-flops to school. I cannot see a single cloud in the sky and I didn't even BRING a sweatshirt to school. Though, granted, it was very chilly at tennis this morning, outside, but I was very happy in the long run that I wore shorts. It's almost like summer and it is getting very close!!!

ONLY 33 DAYS LEFT OF SCHOOL!!!! :-)

Just Keep Climbing, Just Keep Climbing...

Today I biked down to the duck pond and climbed the big tree that's right next to it. I brought trail mix and passion tea lemonade in a backpack, in case I got hungry, but I ended up dropping the trail mix from the top of the three, and some of it fell out, but not all of it, so luckily I was able to pick it up and eat some of it. After I left, some ducks attacked what I had dropped. I climbed higher than I had ever climbed before. I got the seat of my shorts covered in sap, but it was still fun. I swear, sap smells so good, they should make, like, car air fresheners out of that stuff. It took me like 20 minutes to get all the sap off my hands, though. I am out of shape on my bike; I had to walk my bike part way up the hill I have no problem getting up in the middle of summer, when I've had practice biking. Oh, well. That's why I can't wait for summer! (It felt like summer today, though. So warm...)

Early Bout of Summer

Today it was 70 degrees!! It was SO nice. We went to a college softball game. Both teams were really good. It was tied 2-2 at the top of the 7th inning (in college softball, there are only 7 innings). With two outs left, the 2nd baseman hits this holy-cow-over-the-fence-into-the-soccer-field home run to end the game and give the home team the win!!! It was SO much fun.

Afterward I went to Hannah's (from Chicken News) house and we played outside the entire day. We went on the rope swing and I got scraped up on my knee, (I don't think I've ever escaped Hannah's house unscathed) then Hannah and I climbed a tree and showed me where she engraved someones name in like 4th grade. Then I engraved something too. It's surprisingly easy to engrave things in trees; the bark was really soft, so I just used my fingernail. We played with the chickens; I held Julia, Pearl, and Lemony, but mostly Julia. This time I didn't have an "AG incident" as Hannah calls it. Julia and Jasper raced, and Julia won! Hannah showed me the "monument" she and Emma built for Charles. It was pretty awesome-tastical.

I've got a funny feeling we're not in winter anymore...

Today was so far the WARMEST DAY OF THE YEAR coming in at 58 degrees and sunny, with only a few clouds. I know to like, Arizonians, that's the coldest day of winter, but here, that's the WARMEST DAY OF SPRING! YIPPEE!! My dad and I got to fit in the first playing of volleyball in the backyard today with no sore forearms from the cold or the too-hard-ball. I am SO excited because tomorrow it's supposed to be pushing 70 degrees!!! It'll be like summer!!! Sure, the lakes won't be warm, and we'll still have school the next day, and we won't be on vacation, and we'll still have homework, and we won't be tan, and we still won't be able to sleepovers on Wednesdays, and yaddah yaddah yaddah.
