A Not-So-Painful First
On Thursday, I had to get blood drawn for the very first time. I was really really nervous about it, even though my dad has to do it all the time, and mom gives blood a lot. They kept reassuring me that it would be just a little pinch, that's all. They were right! It didn't really hurt, because they use the smallest needle possible to draw blood; called a "butterfly" needle, the kind they use on babies. I also got 2 shots, Gardasil (for cervical cancer), and just a normal flu shot. I almost didn't notice the flu shot, but my arm went numb for like 3 seconds on the Gardasil. But afterwards I got to go to Safeway and get a Maple Bar and chocolate milk! (-:
