Yesterday me and a couple friends went ice skating at the local rink. I hadn't been ice skating since.......well............forEVER. So I was kind of nervous because the last time I was on skates, I broke my thumb. Of course, those were rollerskates, and I was going down a hill, but I am much more apt at those than ice skates. I got the hang of it pretty fast, and soon didn't need to hold a wall or anyone's hand. Of course, there were all these little 9 year old twirl girls out there that were doing spins and jumps and stuff, while all the rest of us hobbled along, struggling to keep balance. I was super excited because I didn't fall once!! We took tons of great pictures, too. Our legs started to get tired after a while, so we took off our skates and handed them back to the lady behind the counter. Then we all piled into the car and went to Jay Berry's for lunch. Me, Hannah, and Emma got Italian sodas (strawberry for them, cherry for me) and then we split a Chefs Special pizza (tomatoes, feta cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts) and a Pepperoni. Emma got pancakes. Then we all went back to Hannah's house and played board games like Harry Potter Clue (Lucius Malfoy took Harry hostage with the Sleeping Draught in the Potions Room.) Hannah taught me how to make a PhotoShop, and I made one with a bear eating me and Kevin (from UP) eating her. We played catch in the yard for a while, and said hello to the chickens, then I had to go home. Boo! But it wasn't too bad because I got home and we had our own little family Christmas before we go to Idaho for the real thing! I got a pair of gauntlets (gloves with the fingers cut off), a bag from my high school, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on DVD. And also on Saturday I got a pair of Uggs.
We drive to Idaho tomorrow!! I'm so excited!!!! We didn't go last year, so it will be AMAZING!!! Oh and afterwards, University of Idaho made it to the Humanitarian Bowl, so we're all going to Boise! We'll be all decked out in Vandal gear!!! I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Job Shadow Today!!
Earlier today I went to a local artisan cheese-maker for a school project. It was for a job shadow project, where you shadow someone that has a job you might be interested in persuing. I helped the head lady have a cheese-making class. We made Mozzerella and a cheese called Tomme. Both were amazing. I learned a lot, and I had so much fun!! My legs hurt terribly afterward, though because we were standing for 4 hours on concrete, and I was incredibly thirsty. But other than that, it was amazing!!!

Pep Band Awesomeness
Today after school the band played at the Varsity basketball game!! It was so much fun! We ate pizza before, and then we played before the game, at halftime, and afterwards. We played Louie Louie, 25 or 6 to 4, Free Ride, The Hey Song, Time Warp, Land of 1000 Dances, and maybe some others I can't remember. My lips were NUMB NUMB NUMB afterwards, but it was the best! My mom was VERY impressed.

Cold. Cold. Did I mention Cold?
Yesterday my bus was late by 20 minutes because a headlight broke. So for half an hour, my fellow bus-stop-mates and I waited in the 29 degree weather at 7:00 in the morning. Everything had that white look to it, because of the frost on the roofs, grass, and trees, white sky, and the white fog from everyone's breath. Most of the guys were wearing basketball shorts. There were a couple girls smart enough to wear gloves and ear warmers. I wasn't one of them. My ears hurt SO bad, and it took about half an hour to get the feeling back in my face. It felt SO good to get back on the warm bus, and my face had that tingly feeling, you know that one you get after you come in from playing in the snow? Winter's here! 22 days until Christmas!!!!
